Elliefant's Graveyard; the curious case of The Throatslit Man
Roll over Nero Wolfe and tell Miss Marple the news! There is a new detective in town!
For as long as she can remember, twenty year old probationary Metropolitan police officer Heather Prendergast has harboured a burning ambition to become Prendergast of The Yard - the greatest detective the world has ever known. If she becomes a national treasure in the process, so be it – it is a cross she is prepared to bear.Convinced that two unexplained deaths on her London patch are murders, rookie police officer Heather Prendergast’s unofficial investigation takes her to an isolated mill town on the Huddshire moors where she unearths a web of corruption that threatens her career – and her life.
More Lewis Carroll than Inspector Lewis, Elliefant’s Graveyard is the first in a series of Prendergast of The Yard Casebooks which recount the accident-strewn off duty investigations of an ambitious young apprentice Metropolitan Police officer. Determined to become the greatest detective the world has known since the late, great, Sherlock Holmes, her aspirations are sadly not matched by her abilities. But despite this, she always gets a result… of sorts
The Days of our Birth
Peter and Sarah grow up living next door to one another in a small town in the east of Scotland. They also share the same birthday. He’s not so bright, but she’s formidably intelligent. She’s also autistic, and can’t understand why nobody except Peter likes her.
The days of our birth follows Peter and Sarah over twenty years. His journey into adulthood is fairly effortless; hers, more complex. It explores how two very different people can grow up as best friends, but never quite understand why they’re best friends and what they really feel about one another.
The book, filled with humour and poignancy, is an exploration of how people change, the things we could have said and done and, sometimes, how we can make things right again.
Peter and Sarah are finally forced to confront what they really feel, about themselves and about each other. For them, it is also about realising that love and friendship mean more than the sum of their differences.
Crimson Red - Unconditional Love
The word love has been defined and confined by society to a certain spectrum, basically involving man and woman. This book dares society to look outside the spectrum at love just as it is - unconditional. No caste, creed, gender, religion or beliefs determining the same. As one would love a pet regardless of the gender, as one would love a newborn regardless, so does this book take the reader on a relationship considered taboo especially in Asian countries. Post reading this book, readers are expected to have an open mind to relationships and not succumb to society's bottle necked version of who should love whom or what sanctions a relationship. This book opens the dimension to another world where matter of the heart is concerned, taking the most commonly used word 'love' to the next level - a level where beliefs will crumble and minds will explode. This book will challenge you to step out of your cocoon, your garment and labels slapped on you by society from the time you were born and for many, even after they have gone to their graves. Prepare to be authentic to yourself. Not for the society or community but for yourself.
Leaving Gilead

Murder on Family Grounds: A Mary Wandwalker Mystery
Who is killing off members of the Falconer family and why? Such is the challenge confronting highly skilled, extraordinarily intuitive Mary Wandwalker when she finds herself single, sixty and jobless. Long ago as an Oxford student with an unplanned pregnancy, Mary knew the Falconers as the family who refused to help when her fiancé, David Falconer died in a car crash. Now the baby boy she gave up for adoption is a policeman, George Jones, and he wants to meet her. Can Mary bring herself to confront her past? She must, for lost in her memory is a clue that could save her son's life.
Back in 1979, Mary wrote to the Falconers and was rejected. Now forty years later, key phrases from her letter appear in the faked suicide note of Perdita Falconer. Neither Perdita nor her killer had access to Mary's document. Too exact for coincidence, the link is the pseudonym of the drug dealer who supplied her fatal dose. He or she is known as "the Kestrel."
When Mary was romanced by David Falconer in the 1970s, "the Kestrel" was codename for a Russian spy entertained at Falconer House. Could the resurrection of the nom de plume be connected to Viktor Solokov, the Russian oligarch renting the Falconer estate with his beautiful wife, Anna? For the Falconers have dark secrets, some centuries old.
When George Jones's wife Caroline begs Mary to save her husband from treacherous Anna, and the murderous talons of the Kestrel, Mary must act.

If You Can't Walk, Try Flying
$3.99
I was born in February 1972, in Bucharest, Romania. Like any ordinary child, I played and laughed—I just couldn't walk. Both my brother and I were diagnosed with a congenital degenerative neuromuscular disease that could not be treated. We were home-schooled, with support from classmates and teachers who came from time to time to test us. I was in love with Romanian and English language and literature, I listened to lots of music, I read and wrote.
I have always been a self-taught person, thoroughly studying what I enjoyed and wanted to have for keeps!
I later became the Fan Club president of one of Romania's leading singers. My world began to open up and I began to use the talents I thus found out I had.
In 2008 I chose to live in another country, and during the COVID-19 pandemic period, I wrote this book.
"If You Can't Walk, Try Flying" is a book about my life in Romania, dedicated to those who wake up in the morning without hope, without the willpower to try harder and enjoy what life has to offer!
Learn to grow wings—each of us is born to fly!

Summer attracts oddball boys which sends her through a series of ill-suited males and strange jobs.
Complications arise when Balch, a local barber, becomes obsessed with Jon Karl, and even more arise when Jon Karl catches the eye of Vance, a young strip club owner and porn filmmaker. Then, when Jon Karl gets into an ill-advised cannabis-growing scheme, he leaves himself vulnerable to blackmail by Vance. Things get worse when Jon Karl is sentenced to the for-profit Baptist correction center run by Spruill’s hated rival, PruetEchols, and he finds Balch working there. One day, Summer’s intuition of something wrong sends her, Spruill, and the sheriff into a ghastly scene and a dangerous rescue of Jon Karl. Jon Karl is released to pursue at last the life he longs for, but becomes increasingly seduced by the strange energy of an abandoned roadside house and the oddly familiar portal it seems to offer. Be Simply Fit
I discovered a long time ago that I was never going to be Arnold Schwarzenegger, or as I had hoped a professional baseball player so I decided to just enjoy working out. This included running, weightlifting, and some skill activities like pick-up softball games or basketball games. In my 30’s and 40’s these worked fine but I found that I had to do more and more to stay in shape and to stay well simply fit. I am currently 69 years old, have had quadruple by-pass which I trained for and have come to terms with the fact that more isn’t necessarily better and as we grow older and we have to get the most bang for our buck when it comes down to exercise. Exercising for 10 minutes every day for a year can put you on the path to good health and it helps to prime the pump so that it becomes easier, which creates the desire to want to do more. But fitness doesn’t only include the physical dimension. Fitness includes the mental, the emotional and the spiritual dimension as well. Reading for 10 minutes every day can be a welcome break from technology and can help us expand our vocabulary and knowledge base. Even those who fear going out of their house can benefit from just a 10 minute walk and a friendly greeting to one of their neighbors. This can also help them to strengthen their emotions and begin to see some of the good in the world. Ten minutes of prayer and meditation can help strengthen our faith and create in us a sense of wellbeing and peace.
All of these things sound great don’t they? Well they are if we just do them consistently. I am sixty nine years old as I stated above and have played the start and stop game my whole life. I have discovered that patience is the key to any form of change that a person wants to make. I have to be patient with myself and others, that’s what makes the difference. Change will come as long as I don’t give up. The change will be incremental but it will come as long as I stay the course and remain consistent, that’s when I will realize that I am Simply Fit. My goal is to help you do the same. This book offers some quick ideas to help you become healthier and improve your longevity. But more importantly I want to help you live a fuller and more vibrant life.
